i hate journals

I just wanted to put some pictures up:)

School's done finally. I was a caveman with a computer for 4 weeks which sucked but i can finally move again, eat again, and go out again. Hence the celebratory Christmas party on Wed night after everyone was done finals!

Oh, and did we celebrate!

Good times involved food, alcoholcard games, truth or dare jenga, twister, a building wide fire alarm ( WE DID NOT SET IT OFF ) followed by more dancing, cross dressing, a hip scarf, some attempts to do the worm and even a little finger painting!

Thanksgiving was great, not that I got out much but I got to see Tristan, Blake, Gleb, and Ben.

Hopefully over Christmas break I will get to see Sarah since she GRADUATED from tampa! congrats!!  And hopefully also Meghann Butler who has been hiding in a cave all year too, so I can finally deliver a birthday present many months overdue!  My break goes until Jan 27th so let me know when youre around!

Matt will be visiting from Wisconsin from the 28th until Jan 6th :)  We plan to spend a few days in early January in Ocean City, too.  I'm looking forward to his visit as the perfect way to offset the usual post-Christmas let down!  What's everyone doing for New Years, btw?

My roomates and I exchanged christmas gifts the other day! That was fun :)  I got some awesome moose PJs and a moose pillow, a tea strainer egg and some snowman slipper socks!  It was way fun and I can't wait until Christmas to open even MORE!  I am *almost* done my shopping, considering I've only had a few days to do it in.  I crocheted 5 scarves in about 2 days and im all crocheted out now!

Thanks to everyone who came to enjoy the party and who has been around to hang out with this semester; it's been busy as hell but there have been good times :D

I'm gonna peace out now.

Maryland = Crabs

Update: Added the rest of the pictures from the weekend *Here*

A wise man once said, "you can get an entire mini-history lesson on any state just by going into one of its souvenir shops."

If that's the case, then Maryland has nothing to offer other than blue crabs and old bay.  After that, there's a tiny part of it that cares about Poe and maybe a mention of the inner harbor.  But mostly we have crabs.  Hot.  Not that I don't like crabs.  I think crabs are a pretty good thing to hold down MD.  They are quite friendly and even enjoy sing-alongs:

I had a good time with Matt this weekend.  We went down to OC from Fri-Sat night and got back at 3 am.  He tried crabs for the first time and steamed shrimp and apparently enjoyed both despite the fact that us crazy folk have to rip legs off our shrimp and clean guts out of our crabs before we'll eat them.

We also got some fisher's popcorn and a dumser's milkshake. MM mmmm.  Other than food, we took a couple walks on the beach and on the boardwalk and up to delaware to a junky sea shell city shop.  We saw Runaway Jury, which was actually pretty good.   We overheard some awesome conversation passing a practically-deserted bar on the boardwalk where the waitress was slurring in a hick accent "YERR FAW-thur is a NO GOOD SONUVA BEE-IYTCH."

Sunday we had lasagna at mom and dad's which was really good and hung out there to chk out my uncle's new black cadillac which excited matt.  Then we took a walk in bunker hill park out in Hereford, which was beautiful.an image

We went down to Baltimore on Sunday night for a bit to check out the inner harbor, and I saw him off to the airport this morning :( with a big tin of old bay to remember the crabs by...

Well now it's off to homework and studying.  BLEH. Peace out homies.

Where'd I go?

Eh, what do you care, right?

So I missed a few months of writing, and I'll do it again, I promise.

Last week I had 4 different interviews.  Friday I was in Raleigh to interview w/ IBM--my deadline on my standing offer is Dec 1st to decide... so then the following Tues-Thurs I interviewed on campus with JHU APL, Northrop Grumman (sp?), and Lockheed Martin.  I guess the environment at the APL sounds the most appealing, but I'll bet they are the lowest paying, as well.  We'll see .. maybe I will be contacted for an on-site interview somewhere.

On a less future-oriented note...Halloween has come and gone and it was much fun.  I had not been out dancing since what seems like 1987.  Give or take a few decades.  Thursday we went downtown to Latin Palace on the bus.  I was a pirate, Meesh was a football player, and Kim was pipi longstocking (spelling? crap I hate it when I have to spell things like that).  We ventured out of the club at some point and chilled with a 54 year old lady bum who showed us how she could dance and cracked us up and took our picture for us.  Apparently they call her 'mama.'   We wandered around looking for others in costume enjoying the festive atmosphere that preceeds holidays such as this one but found none.  After a brief trip up and down fells, we found ourselves do-si-do'ing in front of the Greene Turtle for the bouncer-man.  They were playing cotton-eyed joe on the loudspeaker.  Ian Craig had joined us.   Eventually we gained entrance and skipped inside the bar.  Then the record scratched to a stop and everyone stared at us as if we were a group of white hicks busting in on a black bump-and-grind dance party.  I guess no one else dresses up before halloween?

Well.. we livened the bar for a while, until some assholeface stole my sword.  I felt my blood boil with rage until Bon Jovi soothed my spirits with the classic tune, Livin on a Prayer.  We somehow made it home on the Latin Palace bus and so ended our evening.  Good times.  As an aside, the bus driver :DOES: use the switches on the switch panel to his left.  And if you're lucky, when you ask him, he will flip every switch on, one at a time and tell you what they all do.  But no, he will not let Michelle drive the bus.

Friday night was spent down in Fells viewing the raucous town and its people that had been so conservative the night before.  We saw some crazyyy costumes there.  We never made it into any bars, but I did get a delicious chicken cheese steak at Zeus's.   Some guy traded his plastic sword with me for my makeshift one--aluminum foil and tape - covered cardboard with a blackened handle.  Who ever said 'Cereal' Killers were bad guys?  I also found me pirate booty on the ground on the way home.  Way to go $12!! Way to go drunkards who cant keep their hands on their money!!

Woo Sat night I stayed home and did work.  This weekend Matt visits, which should be awesome and I finally get to go back down to OC!  Hoping for good weather here.

Jumping backwards a few weeks... Oct 17th or so Yeming and Aaron came to visit for the weekend, which was a ton of fun.  We all went to TGIFriday's on .. Friday.. and Saturday we spent the day at the Renaissance Festival, and I was glad they came otherwise I wouldn't have had people to go with!  We gave props to the fun folks, saw a play of Hamlet, Romeo and Juliet (tag team acting), and Taming of the Shrew.  We saw a hypnotist show that stunk and I got really cold towards the end of the day.  But I did eat a ton of food and it was delicious! steak on a stake, cheesecake on a stick, and a cider mm.

Next Friday is college night at the BSO - $10 for Alexander Nevsky and a post-symphony reception with free food and $1 beers.  Can't beat that.  Everyone should jump on that bandwagon.

I need ideas on what I should request for Christmas presents?!  HELP.

Midterms ended a week ago.  I had a week of rest after 4 weeks of pre-hell.  Now the real hell begins.  Project assignment time for OS, DB, and a paper in Philosophy.  BOOOO.

I'm boring. byee

WHY I'm taking a nap instead of doing homework

an image

Hi.  For people who don't know where I LIVE, it's in BALTIMORE CITY, right under the little DASH MARK.  directly under.  not north of *cough*tony*cough*  nap time.

RFC plz

I'm not feelin this post thing so I'm gonna make it simple.

I got to see Sarah Smrcina before she went back to tampa :)  that was fun.  We got our new licenses at the MVA, which wasn't terribly fun but it was good to have someone to stand in line with nonetheless.

I flew to raleigh and had a hellish airplane experience both en aller and retour. or whatever.. delays and xfers and all that fun stuff.. I got a rental car when I arrived in raleigh over an hr late, finally found the hotel room and got about 5 and a half hrs of not so hot sleep before I had to get up and go to an 8.5 hr day of back to back interviewing.  I'm so glad I didn't fall asleep.  But the interviews went well, and I may end up working in Raleigh for IBM next year, who knows.  I have until December to give them an answer.

I did some king shopping with mom for stuff for my new apartment that weekend.. moved in on Sunday the ? 25th? or something who cares.  My apartment rocks you around the clock.  The only problem is it's not terribly soundproof and we hear the people in the courtyard and hallways and kitchen pretty loud from our rooms.

School is school.  i have two nerd classes and one ifsm class (ok that makes three) and one philosophy class.  I'm going to start working 10 hrs/week for Engenium Technologies again for an indefinite period of  time. I suck because I said I wouldn't work this year.  I really suck.  But I spend some dollar dollar the other day so I guess I could use the dollar income.

I went out a lot this weekend, it's fun being 21.  I also have been playing a lot of vball which rocks.  My classes are tooly.  I went to OC one weekend w/ meesh.  It rocked.  We went to seacrets bar and club or whatever, which was a ton of fun, and we got in for free just by asking.. hehe.

I'm cooking up a storm between my tilapia and bbq pork chops and stir fry.  It's fun having my own kitchen here :)

Okay I'm bored.  Chk out the pictures that I finally uploaded from the last party in CA

pce and stuff
